Sam Giddy

Director of Music

Sam Giddy joined St Mark’s as the Director of Music in 2025, having previously served here as the organ scholar. Sam holds a music degree from Sydney Conservatorium and a graduate diploma of theology from SMBC. He has served as Assistant Organist at St Andrew’s Cathedral and Music Minister at St John’s Darlinghurst, and also has extensive experience as a concert organist, having performed in Australia, Korea, the Netherlands, Germany, and the UK.

As Director of Music, Sam is responsible for overseeing the music at the 8am service, directing the St Mark’s Choir (including for special events such as choir concerts and choral evensong services), and developing our growing organ and choral scholarship programme. Sam is also available to play the organ for weddings and funerals at St Mark’s.

Sam is married to Wayomika and they live in Elizabeth Bay.
