The Friends seeks to connect people with each other and St Mark’s and welcomes anyone for whom our beautiful church has a special meaning.

CALENDAR OF EVENTS FOR 2025.

The Friends was established in 1954 as a group desiring to connect people with each other and St Mark’s, while furthering the life and ministry of the church.

The Friends of St Mark’s welcomes members of all ages and anybody for whom our beautiful church has a special meaning, regardless of whether or not they attend church. The group is keen to draw people together and rekindle our broader community connections. We are planning a series of events and hope community members can join us. These will include an annual service and lunch, regular addresses by distinguished speakers on a broad range of topics, musical concerts, and a variety of social events.

Our first event for 2025 will be a guest speaker light luncheon with Professor Matthew Neuhaus on 30 January 2025 at 11:30am. Our topic is: “Dealing with dictators: reflections on diplomacy and peacebuilding.”

If you would like to be placed on the mailing list to be notified about The Friends of St Mark’s future events, please register here.
