Love is patient, love is kind. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8

General information

At St Mark’s, we believe marriage is a gift from God for the good of people: God has our wellbeing at heart and part of that can be that he wants us to experience all the joy and security of an intimate relationship.

Under Australian law, every marriage is the same – ‘the union of a man and a woman to the exclusion of all others, voluntarily entered into for life.’ On the other hand, not all weddings are the same. They can look different, depending on where they are held or what people wear or the words that are used. More importantly, they can be different because they are based on different values and hopes.
