Working hours: Saturday to Thursday

Rev Michelle Philp

Assistant Minister

Michelle recently joined the St Mark’s team from Brisbane, where she has served in a parish, as an Australian Defence Force chaplain and most recently as a chaplain in a local city council. Originally from Wagga Wagga, Michelle trained in chemical engineering before pursuing her calling in Christian ministry. Over the years, she’s worked with university students, in parishes, and as a chaplain in Sydney, Canberra, and Brisbane.

Michelle’s primary responsibility is in overseeing the ‘Bringing In’ ministry – helping St Mark’s become a place that welcomes newcomers and sees them become growing disciples of Christ. She also oversees our 5:30pm congregation and our weddings ministry.

Michelle is passionate about seeing people develop a deeper trust in Jesus through all the ups and downs of life. When not at church, she and her dog Huxley can be found walking or working out in one of the many local parks or recovering in a local café.
