Kae Sheng Woo

Student Minister

Kae Sheng Woo grew up in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, and as a Chinese person from the
southern tip of Peninsular Malaysia, he will occasionally (and controversially) describe
himself as half Singaporean. From a Taoist background, he first came to church aged 12
after a friend invited him to Sunday School, and he became a Christian at 17. Life has never
been quite the same since.
Kae Sheng studied Biotechnology at Monash University Malaysia before completing MTS
training and moving into full-time paid ministry. Over the past few years, he has loved
serving university students and being involved in bilingual ministry in English and Mandarin.
He enjoys all kinds of Malaysian food, but loves seeing people transformed by the gospel of
Jesus even more.
He is currently studying a Master of Theology at Moore Theological College and serves as a
Student Minister at St Mark’s, helping out with the Youth ministry. He hopes to return to
Malaysia one day to be involved in planting a Mandarin-speaking congregation.
