Friends of St Mark’s
The Friends seeks to connect people with each other and St Mark’s and welcomes anyone for whom our beautiful church has a special meaning.
The Friends was established in 1954 as a group desiring to connect people with each other and St Mark’s, while furthering the life and ministry of the church.
The Friends of St Mark’s welcomes members of all ages and anybody for whom our beautiful church has a special meaning, regardless of whether or not they attend church. The group is keen to draw people together and rekindle our broader community connections. We are planning a series of events and hope community members can join us. These will include an annual service and lunch, regular addresses by distinguished speakers on a broad range of topics, musical concerts, and a variety of social events.
Our Friends of St Mark’s (FOSM) will enjoy a variety of interesting events in 2026. These will include hearing from guest speaker Rev Dr Ed Loane (on ‘Thomas Cranmer and the strategy to convert a nation’), a tour of the State Parliament House, Choral Evensong, another Discover course, Organ Recital, annual church service/luncheon with guest speaker Dr Anne Johnstone, Music Scholars Concert, a tour of Vaucluse House and Choir Concert.
